This unique fragrance opens with fresh top notes of Italian bergamot, mandarin and bitter orange, unfolding to reveal a heart of lavender, geranium and Damask rose. With a base including spicy patchouli, vetiver and tonka bean absolute, the complex blend of Botanical Essence™ No.1 translates into warmth and sensuality on the skin.

 

Over 98% derived from natural ingredients, Botanical Essence™ No.1 has been skilfully blended by the distinguished perfumer, Jean-Charles Niel in Grasse, France.

 

Top notes: Italian bergamot, mandarin, bitter orange, lemon and cardamom

Heart notes: Geranium, Damask rose, lavender, coriander and nutmeg

Base notes: Cedarwood, vetiver, Tonka bean absolute and patchouli

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sadly not for me.... I am so disappointed that I purchased the No.1. Sadly it just doesn't suit me and smells awful on me. I love all the other Liz Earle fragrances and ordered this when had a chance of 20% off. The base note of Tonka bean gives it an overwhelming smell of vanilla. Having to purchase online before trying is always going to be a bit of a risk, but hopefully a friend will suit this perfume and I can pass on. The great thing about the Liz Earle range is that it is endorsed by Cruelty Free international and the reason I look for these fragrances. I won't purchase any that are not.

Do you do fragrance samples to purchase before buying a full sized bottle as I find perfumes very hard to buy!

Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately, we don't have samples of our Botanical Essence to send to customers. We used to have 2ml vials, but they were getting damaged in transit, so we have stopped including these with our customers orders. You will find our counters in all large Boots and John Lewis stores, where an advisor will allow you to try any products at the counter, and may be able to provide you with a small sample. Is this the new No 1 perfume with different ingredients?

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. We have maintained the current botanicals within our fragrance so that the finish of the scent you know and love remains unchanged. However, we have needed to tweak the parfum of Botanical Essence™ No.1 slightly to comply to updated European regulations. We do have a great 60 day returns policy, should you find any products you purchase with us direct, unsuitable.
