COCOA BUTTER
(Theobroma cacao)
Famous for its excellent emollient properties, we source our cocoa butter from West Africa, where fermented beans of the cocoa tree are roasted, cracked and ground to give a powdery solid called cocoa mass, from which cocoa butter is pressed.
ROSEMARY EXTRACT
(Rosmarinus officinalis)
Used for its antioxidant properties, we source our rosemary from Spain, where the extract is filtered from the needle-shaped leaves of the plant.
CHAMOMILE EXTRACT
(Anthemis nobilis)
Legendary for its skin-soothing properties, the flowers of this aromatic perennial are harvested in England in the summer, before the ingredient is solvent extracted from the fragrant flower.
EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL
(Eucalyptus globulus)
Renowned for its purifying properties and invigorating aroma, we source our eucalyptus from China, where our essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the fast-growing eucalyptus tree.

Amazing hot cloth cleanser.
I have been using this product for a number of years now. I have very sensitive skin but have never had a problem with this hot cloth cleaner. It smells lovely and is easy to use. My skin always feels soft and cleansed it even removes waterproof mascara with ease. Love it. Oh and a tip if you buy the tube when you can no longer squeeze it out cut it in half as there will be several weeks of product stuck around the edges. Just slip the top half over the bottom half to close.

Cleanse and polish with cloths are excellent .
I've used Liz Earle cleanse and Polish with cloths for quite a few years now . It's very kind to skin and leaves my face fresh and smooth . Very happy with this product and wouldn't use anything else now .

Love this cleanser but could you make smaller bottles that are reusable? They would be great for use when travelling.
Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Whilst we do have 30ml and 50ml options available for our Cleanse & Polish, a refill system is not something we are looking to introduce.
Unfortunately, offering multiuse or refillable packaging is not an option as some of our formulations can be sensitive to light and by changing the container, this opens the formulation to a different environment. Our packaging is primarily developed to protect the product and to provide a quality customer experience.
We want to assure you that we very carefully consider the impact of our packaging from all aspects. We know we’re not perfect but everything that we do counts.

Can cleanse & polish be used by my 11 year old granddaughter. Her skin is becoming greasy
Cleanse and polish balances the oils in the skin.its good for oily skin and also dry patches on the skin. Leaves skin feeling soft and moisturised. Cleanse and polishes can be used for any age. Wouldn’t be without it.

Has there recently been a change to the formulation of this or your matching toner? This and the toner used to be so good for sensitive skin but I’m finding it is triggering my eczema when it never used to so wanted to enquire whether you’ve changed it?
I have sensitive skin and also have used the tonic for years. I haven’t noticed any change as yet , but I am using tonic that is 6 months old .

Have you recently changed the formula in any way? I've been using this for years and have recently noticed it's not as creamy as before, plus the fragrance doesn't seem as strong
I have been using this for 20 years and I’ve most recently noticed that this is now leaving scum in my sink after use and it never did that before. There must have been a change to some cheaper ingredients for it to do this. The original smell is also changed as it’s lost that eucalyptus scent.

How to useLIZEARLE Naturally active napkin?

Used alongside our Cleanse & Polish, our Pure Cotton Cloths will gently exfoliate the skin. Rinse the cloth under hand-hot water and gently wring it out, then wipe away all traces of cleanser from your skin. Use with circular movements to stimulate the skin, dislodge dead skin cells and lift away impurities and make up. Rinse thoroughly after every use and allow the cloth to air dry naturally. We recommend that you pop them into a 30 degree white wash after every few uses to keep them fresh and clean.

Has this changed, over the last few months I noticed a distinct sludgyness in the consistency, am looking for something else instead. It definitely not as good as it used to be.

We can confirm that there have been no recent changes made to the formulation of our Cleanse & Polish.
Sometimes, due to differing harvesting methods we use along with the different locations and seasons, this can affect the natural plant oils and botanicals we use in our formulations. This may impact the colour, aroma or texture of a formulation. This should only be very minimal though and does not affect the performance of the product.

Our products have been tested in accordance with industry standards and show a minimum shelf life of at least thirty six months. Many specific environmental factors influence the shelf life of a product, which means that we are unable to confirm for how long your Liz Earle product can be stored unopened once it has been despatched to you.
On each of our products you will find the EU standard Period After Opening (PAO) symbol which identifies the 'lifetime' of a product once opened for the first time. It can be used as a guide once your product has been opened. The number inside the image of the pot tells you the number of months of this product's lifetime once opened, for example 9M indicates 9 months.
