AVOCADO OIL
(Persea gratissima)
Legendary for its healthy fat content and emollient properties, the avocado is native to Central America. To extract the vitamin-rich, skin-nourishing oil, the succulent flesh of the ripe fruit is squeezed.
BORAGE SEED OIL
(Borago officinalis)
Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.
ECHINACEA EXTRACT
(Echinacea angustifolia/purpurea)
Used for its toning and conditioning properties, Echinacea is native to North America. We source our skin-smoothing extract from within the United Kingdom, where the plant is harvested in July and August before the ingredient is extracted and micro-filtered from the flowers, leaves and stem.
HOPS EXTRACT
(Humulus lupulus)
Used for its mild astringent properties, we source our hops from the United Kingdom and Germany, where the leafy green hop strobiles are harvested in August and September before they are fully ripe. The strobiles are then dried in the shade before being extracted to create our ingredient.

Loved it but now not sure
I’ve been using this moisturiser for over a year and have been very happy with it, but the latest jar is different, it’s arrived in a new jar which is nice, but it smells different (not as nice) and feels slightly different on application, I’m wondering if LE has changed the ingredients along with the jar?

Excellent customer service but didn’t suit my skin
I bought the product in December & used for about 4 weeks before having to stop as my skin started to become dry & irritated. I have sensitive skin which the gel says is suitable for however once I stopped using it my skin calmed down. There is obviously an ingredient in the product which doesn’t agree with me. Whilst it was disappointing I reacted to the gel, customer services were super helpful & as I was within the 60 days money back guarantee I was able to return it & offered a refund or exchange, which was amazing!
I’ve used Liz Earle for many years & usually have no issues with their products so definitely just a one off with this one.

Try it. I was surprised just how lovely it was, i only needed a very small amount and it had fantastic coverage. Absolutely love this product and will definitely be buying it again

Product review of skin repair gel
I’m 50years old. Had oily skin since I’ve been a teenager. I’ve learnt over the years to not dry out my skin but to use a good moisturiser to balance out my skin type. I LOVE this Gel. I used to use skin repair light cream. But since moved onto skin repair gel it makes my skin have less breakouts and most importantly fresh toned skin.

I normally buy the day cream , but thought I’d give this a try and I wasn’t disappointed it’s gorgeous feels lovely on your skin and you only need a small amount it doesn’t stay on you skin it sinks into it and makes your skin feel beautiful and soft

Why does jar boast 72 hours of hydration. If you use Liz Earle, your moisturiser would be applied at least twice a day. So why would you need 72 hours. Confused!

is the product suitable for teenage acne? is the product non-comedogenic?

All skin, however oily or blemish prone, needs nurturing with vitamins and essential fatty acids twice a day, morning and night to ensure that it's in the best possible condition. The best formulation for teenage, ance prone or oily skin types would be our Skin Repair Gel Cream. Our Gel Cream is a cool lightweight translucent cream gel which is slighted mattifying on the skin and provides refreshing shine-free hydration. All our products in the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare range have not been tested for comedogenicity. However, we believe that one ingredient that could cause a product to be comedogenic is mineral oil and this is not something that is used in our skincare range, as we believe that plant oils are better for the skin. Can you tell me if the formula for the gel moisturiser has changed please? I have ordered some from QVC & it has a very unpleasant & distinctive smell unlike the gel cream I have previously purchased directly from yourselves.

Sometimes, due to differing harvesting methods we use, different locations and seasons this can affect the natural plant oils and botanicals we use, these can occasionally have an impact on the colour, aroma or texture of a formulation. This should only be very minimal though and does not affect the performance of the product.
