With a soothing gel cream texture, this moisturiser is enriched with a blend of moisturising borage oil, avocado oil to smooth and soften, soothing echinacea and toning hops.

(Persea gratissima)
Legendary for its healthy fat content and emollient properties, the avocado is native to Central America. To extract the vitamin-rich, skin-nourishing oil, the succulent flesh of the ripe fruit is squeezed.
BORAGE SEED OIL
(Borago officinalis)
Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.
ECHINACEA EXTRACT
(Echinacea angustifolia/purpurea)
Used for its toning and conditioning properties, Echinacea is native to North America. We source our skin-smoothing extract from within the United Kingdom, where the plant is harvested in July and August before the ingredient is extracted and micro-filtered from the flowers, leaves and stem.
HOPS EXTRACT
(Humulus lupulus)
Used for its mild astringent properties, we source our hops from the United Kingdom and Germany, where the leafy green hop strobiles are harvested in August and September before they are fully ripe. The strobiles are then dried in the shade before being extracted to create our ingredient.

I’ve been looking for a hydrating moisturiser as my skin is quite dehydrated despite being oily. I only use this at night and I do layer another thicker cream on top some nights, but either way I wake up and my skin feels plump and fresh! It doesn’t pill with other skincare either

Finding a moisturiser that is lightweight yet intensely hydrating isn't easy, but that's what makes this Liz Earle gel cream so special. The gel-like texture of the cream is lightweight, cool and refreshing which translates to even-toned, radiant and soft skin. Absolutelty blown away by this product.

Very good cream
I received this product for free from Influenster and Lize Earle in exchangefor my honest review. And I can tell that its really amazing face cream. My face skin is really very dry but after couple days used this one my face skin is really better. Its not so dry like it was before. My face is so soft all day and I dont need to used extra cream on day. I am so happy that I get it to try it.

When first opening this I noticed the lovely fragrance, it’s slightly sweet & fruity, reminding me of a banana milkshake. It has a light gel cream texture that is easily absorbed and not greasy. It’s calmed my skin and really helped during a time where the barrier was compromised

A beautiful cream
This is the best last step before your makeup routine I've had the pleasure of trying to then review. This gel cream is lightweight, not sticky and absorbs so well. I didn't feel it on my skin after applying and massaging in like other heavier creams can. I felt light and clean after this and was ready to take on the day! If you're looking for a non transfer, lightweight and high absorbing cream then this is the one for you. The price point is perfect for this as well as you only need a small amount to cover your whole face! Definitely a holy grail in my skincare routine now.

The packaging looks very professional, I love the opaque glass look. The product itself is lovely! It has a nice consistency and it absorbs quickly leaving your skin feeling fresh and dewy. It doesn’t feel greasy or full of oil which is a big advantage. One of the best things is a little goes a long way which means one pot lasts a while. It has a very simple smell not over powering or potent. Overall a very good product!

Don’t be put off by the words “Gel Cream”, it’s in fact nicely textured light moisturising cream, it absorbs quickly into the skin & a little will go a long way. It’s the perfect base for makeup.
It has natural ingredients which I feel has calmed my face, it’s less oily, more hydrated, less breakout and overall feeling refreshed . Highly recommended.

Do hydrating
I like that this product provides enough hydration for whole day. My skin feels instantly relieved and glowy. It’s happy and non greasy or oily. The gel like texture but richness of the cream provides moisture and comfort. I used it the hottest weather and my skin didn’t get overly sweaty or red. My face wasn’t shiny or dehydrated. The pot is great and recyclable but it misses a spatula because dipping finger into pot is not the most hygiene like. That is my only dislike. Please, add spoon or spatula.

Liz Earl Skin repair gel cream
This is a lovely light cream, It absorbs into the skin easily leaving it feeling hydrated and refreshed there is no greasy or sticky residue left behind which I love. Scent wise it is very light hardly even noticeable which a lot of people love when it comes to certain skincare. I have only used this a couple of times so far but I am enjoying it
Also bonus points for being cruelty free.

This feels more like a moisturising cream then a gel, it has the same texture. It works perfectly after the Tonic. It reinforces the fresh feeling, leaving the skin super hydrated. Only criticism for me is that it is not a matt gel so it leaves the skin shiny but if you don't mind the glow then this is perfect. These 3 used together make up a great daily routine and they smell lush too. I have incorporated these products into my daily routine.

Skin is glowing and hydrated
It has got light texture which absorbs fast into skin, does not leave greasy/sticky feeling. It is very rich and creamy yet lightweight. Don’t need to use a lot of product, just a bit of cream and it lathers onto whole face. Skin immediately feels hydrated, supple and looks glowing and brighter. Glow and hydration lasts for the whole day. Fragrance is not very strong and overpowering, it is pleasant and appealing.
The package size is good value for money, and lasts for a long time. I would recommend.

I have combination skin and it absorbs beautifully. Also great under makeup, as a base. A little goes a long way. The smell is luxurious as well, giving you spa vibes.

I love gel creams as most of other creams Ive used which are not gel I tent to break out and get little red spots. My skin itches too because how heavy they are. This one is light weight so far so good! I use this every morning before makeup!

Why does jar boast 72 hours of hydration. If you use Liz Earle, your moisturiser would be applied at least twice a day. So why would you need 72 hours. Confused!

is the product suitable for teenage acne? is the product non-comedogenic?

All skin, however oily or blemish prone, needs nurturing with vitamins and essential fatty acids twice a day, morning and night to ensure that it's in the best possible condition. The best formulation for teenage, ance prone or oily skin types would be our Skin Repair Gel Cream. Our Gel Cream is a cool lightweight translucent cream gel which is slighted mattifying on the skin and provides refreshing shine-free hydration. All our products in the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare range have not been tested for comedogenicity. However, we believe that one ingredient that could cause a product to be comedogenic is mineral oil and this is not something that is used in our skincare range, as we believe that plant oils are better for the skin. Can you tell me if the formula for the gel moisturiser has changed please? I have ordered some from QVC & it has a very unpleasant & distinctive smell unlike the gel cream I have previously purchased directly from yourselves.

Sometimes, due to differing harvesting methods we use, different locations and seasons this can affect the natural plant oils and botanicals we use, these can occasionally have an impact on the colour, aroma or texture of a formulation. This should only be very minimal though and does not affect the performance of the product.
